Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
1. Introduction
Avsec Resilience Ltd (“we”, “our”, “the Company”) is committed to conducting business with integrity and respect for human rights. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are dedicated to ensuring that these practices have no place in our operations or supply chains.
This statement outlines the steps we take to identify, prevent, and mitigate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in line with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
2. Our Business
Avsec Resilience Ltd provides specialist training and consultancy services in aviation security, resilience, and risk management. Our operations are primarily UK-based, with training and consultancy occasionally delivered internationally.
3. Our Commitment
We are committed to:
Upholding ethical labour practices.
Preventing any form of slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking in our business activities.
Engaging only with suppliers, contractors, and partners who share our commitment to fair and ethical working practices.
4. Policies and Procedures
We have implemented the following policies to support our commitment:
Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy – outlining our zero-tolerance approach and staff responsibilities.
Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy – reinforcing ethical business conduct.
Recruitment and Employment Policy – ensuring fair recruitment practices, right-to-work checks, and no use of forced or child labour.
Whistleblowing Policy – providing a safe and confidential process for employees and contractors to report concerns without fear of retaliation.
5. Risk Assessment and Supply Chains
The nature of our business means we assess our risk of modern slavery and human trafficking as low. However, we recognise potential risks in:
Overseas training delivery, where local suppliers (e.g. venues, accommodation, catering, or logistics providers) may not be subject to the same labour protections as in the UK.
Third-party suppliers providing goods or services, particularly where supply chains extend internationally.
We conduct due diligence when engaging suppliers and partners, ensuring they confirm compliance with applicable labour and human rights legislation.
6. Training and Awareness
We promote awareness of modern slavery among employees, contractors, and associates by:
Providing training on recognising signs of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Ensuring all staff understand how to raise concerns safely and confidentially.
Reinforcing our commitment through internal communications and policy updates.
7. Monitoring and Compliance
We regularly review our practices to ensure compliance with this statement and associated policies. If any concerns are identified in our operations or supply chains, we will take immediate and appropriate action, which may include ending relationships with non-compliant suppliers or reporting issues to the relevant authorities.
8. Responsibility
The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for ensuring this statement and related policies are implemented effectively. Managers are responsible for ensuring their teams understand and comply with our commitments.
