Stephen Ackroyd MSc FSyl CSyP

Stephen is the Director/ Principle Consultant of UK risk management consultancy company Avsec Resilience Ltd, having previously held the roles of Head of Aviation Security for UK airline British Midland International (known as bmi), operating out of Heathrow airport and as a Senior Lecturer in Aviation Security/ Course Leader for a MSc in Aviation Security, at Bucks New University, UK.

His early career was in the British Royal Marine Commandos, than moving in to the security industry in 2003, working in Iraq and then moving over to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, covering the airline (bmi) country security operations, prior to moving back to the UK and up the corporate security ladder.

Holds a Master’s Degree in Security Management from Loughborough University, the Certificate in Terrorism Studies from the University of St Andrews,  a Fellow (August 2012) at the UK Security Institute and a registered Chartered Security Professional (March 2014)
